Life stuff

So life got in the way a lot in the last month, with a death in the family, which knocked us all for six.  2016 has so far claimed more than its fair share of wonderful people, as has been widely remarked upon elsewhere, but for me the loss has been much more personal.  But this is meant o be a quick blog about good stuff, so I'm here to say that we're starting to gear up for our next production, which will be 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', in York in late July.  The casting details are posted on our welcome page, but here I'm just going to apologise for the delay in getting the website updated properly, and to say that I'm looking forward to getting started on something funny...

Oh, and that I've had one of those ideas for 'Dream' that is either completely genius or absolutely terrible, and I'm not sure which it is yet.  Exciting times...

Onwards...

So the dust has settled from Revenger's Tragedy, it's snowing outside, and I'm thinking what play we should do next.  I'm a bit mindful of the fact that I've never directed something that my 6 year old daughter could actually see, so I think its about time to do something a bit more child-friendly, and after the grimness of Revenger's it should definitely be something funny.  As a new company we also need to do something that might be popular, so I'm thinking Shakespearean, I'm thinking Shakespearean comedy and maybe I'm thinking... but that would be telling!
